Gemini reads your Gmail, Drive and Docs without copy-pasting. For businesses fully on Workspace that's a big difference from external tools.
Photos, audio and video as input. For businesses with visual processes (real estate, retail, manufacturing) you can feed images straight to Gemini. No intermediate OCR or transcription step.
In 2026 Gemini accepts very long context by default. Whole legal texts, product catalogues or annual overviews at once. Good for research, legal work and analysis.

Frequently asked questions
Gemini clearly wins when you work in Workspace, because it already has the context there. ChatGPT is more versatile for one-off tasks outside Workspace. Copilot is the Microsoft equivalent for M365 environments. If you're purely on Workspace, Gemini is usually the logical first choice. In mixed environments we choose per use case.
On Gemini for Workspace, Google does not use your data for training and processing stays within your Workspace tenant. For strict EU requirements we run Gemini via Vertex AI with data residency in the EU. For special categories of personal data and NIS2-sensitive data we recommend an additional risk assessment.

Yes. Gemini writes and reads Dutch fine. The Workspace interface is also available in Dutch. For customer contact and internal communication in NL that's not a blocker.
Workspace is for end users working inside Gmail, Docs and Sheets. Vertex AI is for AI colleagues and automations: integration with your own software, BigQuery or customer portal. Many businesses eventually need both: Workspace for people, Vertex AI for systems.
